Jonathan Bamber is professor of glaciology, University of Bristol and former Director of the Bristol Glaciology Centre. He has a degree in physics and a PhD in glaciology/remote sensing. He has >40 years experience in the analysis of airborne & satellite data sets from the polar regions, specialising in combining these data with models of the Earth system. He is an expert on the ice sheets covering Antarctica and Greenland and their contribution to sea level. He has also published extensively in the general field of geodesy, covering mapping of the surface topography of the Earth, sea level variations in time and space and measuring mass exchange between the land and oceans due to melting of land ice and the hydrological cycle. From 2016-2020 Bamber was president-elect and president of the European Geosciences Union, the leading organisation for Earth, planetary and space science research in Europe.

Luca Brocca received the M.S. degree in 2003 and the Ph.D. degree in 2008 in Civil Engineering, both with excellence, from the University of Perugia, Italy. Since 2019 (2009) he is Director of Research (Researcher) at CNR-IRPI. He holds an MSc in Geoinformation Science and Earth Observation from ITC, University of Twente, Netherlands, and a PhD in Applied Geoinformatics from the University of Salzburg, Austria. He specializes in AI, remote sensing, and GIS applications in natural hazards.

I am an Assistant Professor at the Indian Institute of science (IISc), India. I am working on understanding the changes in the Earth system due to climate change and direct human interventions. I have a PhD in Geodesy from University of Stuttgart, where I developed novel processing algorithms to process GRACE satellite data. I worked at the University of Bristol as a research postdoc and as a Marie-curie research fellow to understand the sea-level rise and separate GIA signal from present day surface mass change. I joined IISc in 2021 and started a group: Geodesy for Earth system science, where we are pushing the boundaries of our contemporary understanding of human-climate-water interactions.
